CENTRAL MA

Meet your chapter leader: Katie Elzer, she/her

Few things have served my mental health more than time outdoors. Whether sitting by a lake on a blanket, paddling a creek, or a solo walk in the woods, I leave outdoor spaces feeling: grounded, connected, regulated, and curious. To me, body liberation in the outdoors is ensuring that every person, in every body, who desires to spend time experiencing what the outdoors has to offer us, has access to do so in a way that feels connected, safe, and joyful. My goal is to create a chapter that feels gentle, joyful, and fun. I am a bit of a "bird nerd" so in addition to regular breaks for rest, snacks, water, and photos- I am excited to share the joy of spotting birds across the Central Massachusetts landscape.
