BOSTON

Meet your chapter leader: Megan Gamerman, she/her

Hey ya’ll! Body liberation for me is intertwined with the morality around and assumption that health has a type. There is no right way to live in body and finding ways to move in ways that feel good can be freeing. I grew up in Boston and fell in love with the work of Fredrick Law Olmstead and the Emerald Necklace which I hope to explore with you. Currently, I live on the other side of the river and frequent the minute man bike path and Middlesex Fells.

The hikes that I am leaning towards in the area will always be dog friendly as my pup goes everywhere with me. She likes to do a lot of sniffing which is always a great opportunity to pause and stretch (@peachestakesthegold on Instagram). There will be urban hikes (mostly water adjacent) and ones accessible by train for the most part so those without cars are not limited. I also plan to extend out to concord and neighboring towns with some Blue Hills stops for skyline views of the city. Tasty snacks will be in tow and I am always looking for good recipes and restaurant recommendations, distance is not a barrier. Will travel for a good meal.
